Feeling creative? Want to put pen to paper and see what stories come out? Do you identify as LGBTIQA+?
Then this group is for you!
Lead by author/publisher KL Joy this will be a fun creative venture that will help you polish the stories you have inside you. Whether your interest is in finally writing that novel or just working your stories out KL will help you polish the rough into a diamond with skills.
It will run fortnightly during school terms.
We’ll read from queer writers and deconstruct their work to help us think critically about how to hone our craft. KL will also run exercises to help with the craft of writing in a variety of styles and help the writers find their voice through the page.
In the future, we’d love to have queer authors come and talk to the group, create an anthology of the work created in the space, and have access to a venue to run a spoken word night where people get to perform their work
