The Spoon and the Cook

Kate, from Sydney-based Fritter House, has been making spoons and cooking things in her spare time. And she has plenty of opportunity to test out her designs. Batches of famous chilli jam, chipotle aioli and all the other delicious Fritter-friendly embellishments get stirred with lovely handmade wooden spoons.
Made from carefully selected and mostly reclaimed Australian wood, the process of cutting, carving, sanding and oiling is a long one. The resulting spoons are beautiful and functional. Treated well they will last and last. Kate finishes the spoons with a homemade blend of beeswax, coconut oil and walnut oil. You can buy Kate's "spoon butter" too.
