The Beer Crate

My name is Muz and I'm your beer controller, the mastermind is Mandy and we want you to enjoy tasty, delicious craft beer that is normally hard to get and have it delivered right to your door.

You wont believe it but, The Beer Crate is actually the inspiration of the fairer side of this great team; The result of a girl’s weekend away!

It went something like this……

World’s Best Girlfriend: “While I was away on my girl’s weekend pampering and preening myself, I was thinking about you and your love of craft beer.”

Beer Loving Boyfriend: “Nice Baby. What were you thinking?”

WBG: “Did you know there are now hundreds of independent micro breweries in Australia?”

BLB: “Yes, Baby.”

WBG: “Selling more than 1,000 different varieties?”

BLB: “Yes, Baby.”

WBG: “That’s amazing. This market has grown like crazy over the past 5 years! Providing such a huge variety of styles, aromas, flavours, bitterness and just simply something new. These boutique micro breweries are changing the way beer is consumed in Australia. ”

BLB: “Yes, Baby.”

WBG: “You love craft beer.”

BLB: “Yes, Baby.”

WBG: “I think you should drink more craft beer!”

BLB: “Ye…. Wait…. What ?”

WBG: “Try them all. You owe it to yourself and all these great new brewers. As a craft beer lover you need to experience all that these breweries have to offer. Celebrate these craft brewers, and tell your friends about your favourites. Like all Australians you love to support the underdog, try new things and enjoy great beer. Taste the beers, get to know them, appreciate them and then pay it forward.”

BLB: “Great idea baby! When do I start?”

And so The Beer Crate was created.

The fact that craft beer was at the fore front of our minds is in no small part to the massive enthusiasm and appreciation for craft beer that is currently occurring around Australia and particularly in our home town Canberra, where the continued introduction of the newest, tastiest and most unique craft beer to your mates as often as possible is almost a calling to much of the Canberra population. That, and being the first one to find it.

It’s a result of the unapologetic, engrained Aussie nature of one-upmanship.

The regular topic of conversation on the bus, in the car, in the lift, as we embark on the working week on a Monday morning centres not on what you did on the weekend, but what you drank and where you found it.
