St. Barnabas Cricket Club (affectionately known as ‘The Barnies’) was formed in 1921 and has a proud history. Synthetic and Turf matches are played from Myrtle Reserve, Severn St, Balwyn North which is also the location of our clubrooms.
St Barnabas fields Senior teams at all levels in the Eastern Cricket Association competition. Throughout this time, success has come regularly including 40 senior premierships since the start of the 1955/56 season. Our Junior sides are known as the Balwyn Blasters.
St Barnabas Cricket Club does more than just play cricket. We have a proud ethos of sportsmanship, comradeship and a passion for the game. ‘The Barnies’ has produced friendships to last decades; has seen the cricketing tradition pass from father to son; and has had a welcoming approach to anyone eager to share in the game. It is in this foundation that will see St Barnabas extend its history for countless years to come.
