OVERVIEW OF SALVO CONNECT PROGRAMS

Salvo Connect Western provides the following programs servicing the Ballarat region:

Program MEA
Case management support to women with children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Program MaC
Case management support to young women aged 16 - 25, who have children or in their last trimester of pregnancy.

Young Families Connected
Case management support to young couples aged 16 - 25, who have a child or children, or in their last trimester of pregnancy.

Children Services
Support and group programs to dependent children of women who are accessing support through Karinya as a result of being homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Support for the above mentioned programs includes but is not limited to:

Assistance to find and maintain stable, safe, secure and affordable housing
Advocacy
Family Violence Support
Living Skills
Pregnancy & Parenting Support
Information and referral to other appropriate agencies
Budgeting and re-establishment assistance
Advocacy and support with appointments Information, eduation & group work
Community Services

Chaplain
Support, counselling & religious care for Karinya clients & staff.

LARF
A mentoring program provided to disadvantaged children and youth.

Occasional Child Care Centre
Priority is given to clients of Salvo Connect and participants of the Community House. We also offer places to other welfare services and the general community as available. Cost of $12 per session for Salvo Connect & Welfare Agency clients or $20 per session for the general community. You do not need to have a concession. The centre is open from 9.30am - 1.30pm Tues - Fri. Enquiries can be made on (03) 5329 1110.

Ballarat North Neighbourhood House
Services the needs of the community within Ballarat and surrounding areas with the vision of providing lifelong learning opportunities and social networks, encouraging people to develop skills, confidence and a sense of community involvement. Comprehensive and diverse ranges of classes/activities are offered each term, which foster our commitment to lifelong learning.
