Roger Skelton - ACTON South West

People change careers for a number of reasons, for Roger Skelton, it was his baby daughter who led to a career selling property.

“I'd spent years managing taverns and restaurants, in fact I'd moved to Busselton originally to manage a tavern, but the job takes up a lot of your time and is not ideal when you have a young family.

“I was looking at my options when a friend suggested I try real estate and I haven't looked back! I really enjoy it - real estate gives me more time for the family but still has a strong social aspect and allows me to get out in the community and meet people.”

Roger has been selling residential real estate in Busselton and the South West for the last five and a half years and has built a strong reputation based on his enthusiasm, expertise and professionalism.

“I've known Roger since he started in real estate and he has been very successful, but that wasn't what appealed to us when considering him as a member of our team,” said ACTON South West Director Kevin Cross.

“He is known for being straightforward and honest and we believe that is very important, both for our clients and for our brand. Roger and his wife moved to Busselton 9 years ago and they feel it is a great place to raise a family.

“Busselton is still a safe place, plus the lifestyle is fantastic. There are plenty of parks and you are close to beaches where ever you are,” he said.

In terms of the market, Roger feels things are improving.

“Price is the key. Busselton is essentially a tourist town and there are a lot of properties for sale for a range of prices. Sales are being made at all levels, from high to low, as long as the price appeals to buyers.”
