Relaxed Horsemanship

Relaxed Horsemanship is all about, well, being relaxed with your horse. That doesn’t mean letting your guard down – we should never do that! It’s about not stressing, about taking time to train at a pace your horse accepts and enjoys, and encouraging your horse to be active and engaged in all training. We think of it as facilitation of learning rather than instruction.

We mostly use Clicker Training, following the work of Australian Georgia Bruce. We use clicker training to enhance the horsemanship of another Australian, Clinton Anderson, along with other horsemanship clinicians including Ian Francis, Ray Hunt, Warwick Schiller and more.

What we do:
- Offer clicker and groundwork training and clinics in the ACT and Southern NSW
- Founded Horse Agility Australia and continue to work to build this sport within Australia.
- Run Dragonfly Park, an agistment and training centre in Yass NSW.
- Stand our stallion, PIK Your Destiny, an overo-positive Grullo Paintbred, at sud.
- Partner with Blue Kangaroo Stud to breed quality riding horses.
- Run the Bush Capital Equicentre website and forum.
- Andrew Hennell Equestrian & Rodeo Photography, photographing events in ACT & Southern NSW.
