No Animal Circus in Gosford

"No Animal Circus in Gosford" is a page run by volunteer residents in the Central Coast, NSW, who oppose the return of a circus with animals in captivity, to the Central Coast, specifically, to the Gosford Waterfront over the coming new year period.

We hope to raise awareness of the cruel and outdated exploitation of animals in circuses and the public health and safety implications.

We stand with the positions held by the RSPCA, Animals Australia and Animal Liberation, that the circus environment is not able to meet the mental and physical needs of animals, regardless of how well managed it is.

We are asking the community to come together and ask the Central Coast Council to ban any return of an animal circus. Many other councils across the country and many countries worldwide have already enacted a ban on circuses that include animals in captivity. We ask that the Central Coast Council catch up and take this positive step forward.

Let's all come together and do what we can to ensure that we do not have animals kept in cages and enclosures on our waterfront again. We welcome animal-free circuses instead.
