The Academy offers tuition for a variety of dance styles.
Students can participate in a number of extra curricular activities including Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus examinations (internal and External at vocational level, The Kathy Gorham Grades Awards and the Ballet Teachers Workshop.
As well as these vocational programmes, the Academy also participates in the Beachside Dance Festival, Phoenix Festival of Dance and Southern Dance Festival, where students can perform individually, as a duo or trio and in troupes, with personalised training provided.
All students are encouraged to participate and are not selected on the basis of ability. Another fantastic activity is the annual Christmas Concert, a fantastic highlight for all students and their families.
Students can begin classes from the age of 3 and many continues well into their 20s and now in addition we also offer Adult ballet classes.
Past students have progressed on to performing at Royal New Zealand Ballet, the Australian Ballet School, Dance World Studios, Victorian College of the Arts, Disneyland Tokyo and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
Many also find the skills they honed at the Academy to be very helpful when completing school and university studies, find our programmes leading to improvements in discipline, communication skills, adaptability, public confidence as well as physical strength and fitness.
