Faith Lutheran Kindergarten

Faith Lutheran Kindergarten is an Approved Kindergarten Program, co-located on the grounds of Faith Lutheran College Redlands. The Kindergarten commenced operation in February 2006.

The Kindergarten is a double unit facility housed in a purpose built building, catering for children in the year prior to prep (4 years old by the 30th June in the year they attend Kindergarten). There are a maximum of 22 children per group.

The Kindergarten sessions are:
Sessions 1 & 2: 8.30am – 2.30pm Monday, Tuesday, alternate Wednesday
Sessions 3 & 4: 8.30am – 2.30pm alternate Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

The staff at the Kindergarten formulate a program from their knowledge and observations of the children who attend. The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) forms the basis of planning the curriculum. The QKLG is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The guideline supports the vision that all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life.

At Faith Kindy, we provide a safe, secure and supportive learning environment. Our program stimulates young minds to think independently and promote their own learning. It fosters creativity, challenges thought processes, and supports co-operative learning. We address the needs, interests and abilities of each child and recognise them as the unique individuals that they are.

Our Kindergarten is committed to providing a quality educational program, while nurturing the development of all students in a Christ-Centred community.
