Ebony Tucker Equestrian

Ebony Tucker Equestrian offers riding lessons, horse education and breaking in at competitive rates.

Ebony is available to conduct clinics for all levels, throughout Victoria, with her main focus being on classical riding and training techniques, including an emphasis on horse and rider safety.


Ebony began her riding career at an early age under the watchful eye of Bert Jacobs (Australian Olympic representative 1956) and produced Advanced event horse Pure Luck. Ebony and Pure Luck competed as Australian representatives on the Young Rider Trans Tasman Team for 2000.

Ebony then went on to choose and train the talented horse All Luck. With the help of her then new coach Ron Paterson, she successfully competed and trained “Lucky” to 2 Star level. With Ebony’s correct and classical training as a base, this horse then went on with rider Shane Rose who were members of the Australian Silver medal winning Eventing team at the 2008 Olympics in Hong Kong.
“Lucky” and Shane also placed 2nd at the Prestigious Burghley Horse Trials and was a member of the World Equestrian Games Team in 2010

Ebony began Pluto Mio’s and his half sister Annapurna’s education as a 4 year olds, competing “Anna” successfully to preliminary level. During this time Ebony’s mother fell ill and the horses were put on the back burner and the decision was made to campaign the horse with Stuart Tinney. Both “Pluto” and “Anna” are now competed by Stuart.
Pluto Mio who will be representing Australia in this years (2014) WEG and Annapurna is currently competing 3* and is looking to be a promising horse for the future.


Ebony has trained in England and Germany with Olympic and World Champion Mark Todd, Blyth Tait, Peter and Thiess Luther as well as Lucinda Green in Australia since 1997. This has given Ebony extensive experience in the training of both horses and rider, in all main disciplines.

Ebony’s involvement with coaches such as Bert Jacobs and Ron Paterson (both pupils of Franz Mairinger) has inspired her to provide a classical approach to riding and training for both horses and riders of all levels and aspirations in an enjoyable, safe and Friendly environment.

Ebony is available for lessons at Shady Creek Equestrian Centre (Darnum) or travel Warragul and Surrounds for lessons.
