Dove Events Brisbane

Dove Events, also known as Wedding Doves and Celebration Doves have been proudly providing Pure White Rock Doves (Columbia Livia) for safe release around Brisbane for 16 years.

Owner operator Lesley, learnt a lot about keeping and flying these fascinating birds from her brother many years ago. She then went on to follow a slightly different line of flying, working as a flight attendant for 12 years.

All the birds are thoroughly trained before release and are capable of flying long distances home, but for the comfort and safety of the birds, we do have boundaries.

Most of our birds live on the north side; but some birds live on the south side of Brisbane with an experienced keeper. This saves birds having to fly so far, to get home, if the release is on the south side.

We at Doves Events are committed to the welfare of our birds. We are equally committed to providing the highest level of service with individuality and care.

Our doves are the same amazing kind of bird that played a vital part in both World War One and World War Two as they proved to be an extremely reliable way of sending messages. Such was the importance of pigeons that over 100,000 were used in the wars with an astonishing success rate of saving lives by getting through to their destination with their message.
