ADA Cottage

ADA Cottage is dedicated in providing a holistic approach to all care for our residents. Your comfort and contentment is of prime importance to us. Whether you prefer a little more privacy or enjoy the company of others, our single rooms provide you with the space needed to truly make yourself at home.
We actively support and promote independence and individuality and encourage interaction and friendships within and outside the facility. We are a strong and close knit team of staff and residents and take every opportunity to embrace and involve our local community, understanding and supporting previous social and personal links.
ADA Caring Connections is a Community Home Support Service, funded by the Department of Social Services and administered by ADA Cottage.

ADA Caring Connections provides a wide range of Home Care services to people with disabilities, frail aged and their carers in the towns of Kandos/Rylstone and the surrounding villages of Charbon, Clandulla, Running Stream, Ilford, Glen Alice and Bylong.
Our extensive range of services enables the person/s to remain independent in their own home.

The individual tailored Home Care Package can offer;

• Delivery of Home Cooked Meals, including special dietary requirements.
• Transport to attend the variety of programs held at the Day Therapy & Leisure Centre at ADA Cottage and/or other social activities. Transport can also include visits to the Medical Officer or other Allied Health services, e.g. Physiotherapist, Dietician.
• Personal Care includes; medications, showering, basic wound care, continence management, domestic duties etc.
• Shopping- this can be personal or grocery
• Home maintenance, small jobs only.
• Respite care to enable time out for the carer.
• Advocacy to support the person with any grievances
• Other identified services required to maintain the person at home.
ADA Community Services also provide these services and more as a fee for service option.
