Brett Nutting makes one-off pieces of furniture from recycled timber salvage, off-cuts and waste. His showroom is open by appointment: 0427 416 171. The timber is mostly softwood – various species such as pine, cedar or kauri – often salvaged from demolition sites and otherwise destined for the tip.
Examples include dining tables, tall & skinny hall tables, bedsides, sideboards, one-door-one-drawer cupboards, pigeonholes, bookcases, bathroom cupboards and whole kitchens. Brett also makes outdoor furniture, e.g. the tables and chairs made from oak wine barrels at Botobolar cellar door, Mudgee.
Brett has been making furniture for more than 20 years. He set up the AdHoc Furniture workshop and showroom in Kandos in 2008.
