Why is digestion important?
We obtain all of our nutrients we need to function and survive from the food that is broken down in our digestive system. When our digestion compromised nutrient deficiencies and inflammation can occur. This can not only effect your digestion in the obvious way – gas, bloating, constipation etc.- but the health of your whole body, both physically and mentally. Compromised digestion can have a huge effect on your quality of life.

Poor digestion can effect energy levels, inflammation, immune function and
psychological disorders such as ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression.

Many clients with digestive problems have suffered for years, treating the symptoms with a range of medications. A detailed naturopathic consultation is designed to look at the cause rather than just treat the symptoms in order to achieve long term results. I enjoy helping clients find ways to easily incorporate the right food and lifestyle choices into their daily routine in order to achieve long term positive health.

NOTE: MY RECIPES
In my clinic generally most of my clients are on a certain diet that is free form grains, dairy, processed foods. Their diet is based on bone broths and stocks, vegetables, organic meats and fermented food. This is something that can be daunting to incorporate at first but I have designed a program and recipes to help make it easy to incorporate into their every day lives.
Having said that - the rest of my recipes are simple ways to incorporate whole food choices into your every day life. Some are grain free, some are free from dairy, soy, nuts or gluten and all are free from artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and refined sugar. They are based on whole foods as close to their natural source as possible. I want to help people realise how easy it is to incorporate there real food choices and how important it is to eliminate processed foods in our diet.
