Yarranlea Primary School

Yarranlea Primary School is a small, multi-age, independent primary school situated in the bushland setting of Griffith University’s Mount Gravatt campus, on the Southside of Brisbane.

Yarranlea is a small, student-focused school operating in a conventional classroom setting that tailors the Australian National Curriculum to enable personalised learning. Our teachers facilitate excellent social and educational outcomes relative to the unique skills and abilities of each student.

Our school has a rich and long history, dating back to 1883. Our original heritage school house was built by the Yarranlea farming community on the Darling Downs in 1888. Yarranlea Primary was inspired by the legacy of Old Yarranlea State School which thrived as a one-teacher, heritage listed school on Griffith's University campus for 26 years, with a unique charter for research and teacher training.
