Julie and Kayla Russell have lived and breathed horses for most of their lives. The understanding they have patiently built over these years is hard to match, and can only be achieved by developing a mutual respect with their animals.

Consequently, YP Performance Horses has a reputation for producing quiet and trustworthy horses: Whether your young child needs a reliable mount for pony club or you need a competitive thoroughbred for racing, dressage or show jumping, we can match horse and rider.

Based in North Queensland, just outside Charters Towers, our serene riverside setting - combined with our attitude to re-education - ensures our horses develop the right mindset.

While YP Performance Horses primarily focuses on re-educating and selling race horses and ex-race horses, we also train animals from scratch and re-educate horses for private customers. Even the most troubled horses can be helped with the gentle assistance of horse communicators Colin Brown and Mick Davidson.
