Yarra Brae Riding Centre

Yarra Brae Riding Centre is a place like no other. Situated on 300 magnificent acres and surrounded by a further 500 acres of State Park, it is easy to forget that the hustle and bustle of Melbourne is only a 45 minutes drive, with Eastlink a mere 20 minutes away. Yarra Brae has operated as a family business since 1980, offering both riding tuition for adults and children and horse agistment.

The riding school caters for complete beginners to the more advanced riders, and offers a fun and safe environment in which to learn. Lessons vary from dressage, show jumping, cross country jumping and bush riding. All our instructors are NCAS/AHRC qualified and carry level two workplace first aid and working with children checks. Any horse enthusiast will enjoy learning to ride or improve skills on our well-mannered ponies and horses.

Horse Agistment
In addition to 300 acres of safe, traffic free riding on our beautiful property near the Yarra River, the atmosphere here is a happy, friendly and sociable one where both children and adults can grow, learn and have fun with their horses. Adult assistance is readily available so Yarra Brae is the perfect place for busy parents to drop their child off to play with their pony all day in the school holidays in a safe environment. We are perfectly situated near a number of Pony and Adult Riding Clubs.

Because your horse is fed and checked everyday you are free to take holidays secure in the knowledge that your horse will be looked after whilst you are away. We have regular visiting equine vets, farriers, horse dentists and physio's. Your horse can be collected and supervised during their treatment time if you are unable to attend. A worming, dentistry and vaccination program is implemented for all horses.

All our paddocks here at Yarra Brae are group paddocks only which are approximately 10-12 acres in size, this offers your horse plenty of freedom to roam. Good quality hay is fed 9 months of the year which is included in the monthly agistment fee.
