Social Media Moderation Guidelines
We value your comments and expect that our conversation will follow the general rules of respectful discussion and exchange of ideas. This is a moderated site, and we welcome comments from contributors that relate to topics on the Wyreena Facebook page.

We will review comments for posting and remove them if they violate Maroondah City Council’s Social Media Policy guidelines. You are fully responsible for everything that you submit in your comments, and please remember that all posted comments are in the public domain.

We do not discriminate against any views, but we reserve the right to remove comments that contain:

abusive, profane or sexual language
material that would offend contemporary standards of taste and decency
statements which may be considered to be bullying or harassment
content not relating to the subject matter of this blog, board, forum or site
discriminatory material in relation to a person or group based on age, colour, creed, disability, family status, gender, nationality, marital status, parental status, political opinion/affiliation, pregnancy or potential pregnancy, race or social origin, religious beliefs/activity, responsibilities, sex or sexual orientation
illegal material or material designed to encourage law breaking
material that would breach applicable laws (defamation, privacy, trade practices, financial rules and regulations, fair use, trademarks)

If you are a journalist, please send questions to Maroondah City Council’s Media & Communications Officer through normal channels rather than by submitting questions here as comments. It is our policy not to post journalist questions.
