Services Offered by WRISC Family Violence Support Inc.

INTAKE SERVICE available every day 9:00am to 5:00pm

FAMILY VIOLENCE OUTREACH PROGRAM
• Short term case management (0 – 6 weeks)
• Longer term case management (0 – 12 weeks)
• Intensive case management (0 - 6 months)
• Case management outreach to five Local Government Areas:
o Ballarat
o Pyrenees
o Hepburn
o Moorabool
o Golden Plains
• Family Violence Court support for clients
• Shared care planning support in collaboration with many other services (0 – 12 months)

ABORIGINAL FAMILY VIOLENCE PROGRAM – holistic approach
• Intensive Case Management (in partnership with Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative (BADAC))
• Aboriginal girls group (see below)
• Family Violence court support

CHILDREN’S COUNSELLING
• Individual counselling using
o Play therapy
o Art therapy
• Single session assessment and therapy
• Various groups (see below)

WRISC also has brokerage to:
• Keep women and children safe in their own home
• Assist with private rental
• Assist with establishing secure housing
• Provide support for eligible case managed clients (in partnership with Berry Street)
• No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS)

GROUPS
Women
• Eight week group in collaboration with Ballarat Community Health
• On-going group in collaboration with Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA)

Children
• Aboriginal girls group – On-going (subject to funding)
• Art therapy – On-going (subject to funding)
• Various other 6-10 week groups throughout the year and in partnership with Child and Family Services (CAFS), Ballarat CASA and Salvo Connect
