Working Mums Collective

The idea behind working mums collective has come from my experience being a working mum, reading discussions in numerous articles and stories about working mums and still feeling like I’m not supported on this journey.

I want this space to be a place for working mums to connect, share stories, celebrate successes and really support and empower each other no matter what journey they are on.

There are a lot of resources out there on the World Wide Web but I am still searching for a community, a cheer squad, a group of like-minded working mums to pump each other up and lift us up when we may be doubting our choices.

So, working mums collective was born to be that cheer squad. If you are looking for a group to lift you up, support you, encourage you and have your best interests at heart then you have come to the right place!

These days, statistics show that there are more working mums than stay at home mums – these stats really inspire me but at the same time makes me wonder ‘Why are we still judging the choices of working mums?’

Let’s stop the criticism and judging!

We shouldn’t judge each other for the choices that we make, whether we are a stay at home mum or a working mum working 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week, self employed or working for someone else. Mums already experience enough guilt – let’s change this! Let’s build this community to support each other.

Have you ever heard a man say that he feels judged for being a working dad? No, neither have I.

Everyone has a different reason for choosing to return to work. I want this community to share those reasons, embrace everyone’s choices and support each other and share our journey’s so we can inspire and empower each other and show our daughters that they can combine a career with motherhood.
