Who Are We?

WordNerd Document Services was initiated by a dynamic husband-and-wife team, Clinton and Elisa. They have a combined 25+ year history of working with words - providing excellent transcription, document formatting and administration services across a range of industries (including education, medical, market research, insurance, property & real estate, finance, mining & construction and community services). They are avid readers in their spare time who love the power of well-employed language, which drives them to be passionate about their work.

In 2015 they combined their finely-honed skills and joined forces, forming a business partnership providing virtual transcription and administration services (and also fulfilling a long-held dream of working together from home).

It soon became obvious that there is a large need in Australia for a service that can provide accurate, professional and intuitive transcription and document preparation, one that truly understands the differing needs of each client. As they reached out to fill this need, Clinton & Elisa's business has grown and expanded, bringing together a network of fellow Nerds who each bring their own broad experience and real passion. Together, we aim to always give our clients what they deserve - the best quality!


What Makes Us Different?

As our name implies, at WordNerd we are self-confessed nerds who love to learn, value accuracy, and have a real passion for language.

Given how complex English can be, we appreciate that the sense, context, spelling and grammar can greatly impact the meaning and power of the words we use. We also understand that many industries employ unique terminology which needs to be understood and used with discernment. Above all, we love to always keep learning. Since we are Nerds at heart, we are willing to put in that extra research to ensure that your documents truly convey the intended meaning in their context.

Our Nerds also have a long history of working closely with the Deaf community as well as with other non-English speaking communities. We understand that our clients often need transcription, note-taking and subtitling/captioning services that will be clearly understood by all readers, even when English is not their first language.
