Dr Raelia Lew is a fertility specialist with a passionate interest in women’s health. In her approach to fertility care, Raelia recognises issues that are important to women and acts as their strong advocate. Skill, compassion and her commitment to clinical and academic excellence help Raelia to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes. Her gentle and caring manner makes her popular with patients. Raelia has expertise in IVF and Egg Freezing. Other special interests include Reproductive Surgery, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Preimplantation Genetic Screening and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
Raelia graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree with honours from Monash University. She trained as a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Sydney’s prestigious Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. During her specialist training, Raelia achieved a Masters of Medicine in Reproductive Health Science and Human Genetics at The University of Sydney, and a Ph.D from the University of Sydney, completed in Cambridge, UK.
Raelia was selected to undertake the RANZCOG subspecialty CREI (Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility), an elite Australasian post-graduate training qualification in IVF, Reproductive Endocrinology, Advanced Minimally-Invasive Gynaecology Surgery, Comprehensive Fertility Care, Andrology (Male Fertility and hormone management) and Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
Raelia is actively involved in medical student and junior doctor teaching at both the University of Melbourne and the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Raelia established her private practice, Women’s Health Melbourne in 2015 and consults from her rooms at Windsor Private Hospital.
