Winnie Bagoes City

Winnie Bagoes has been the home of gourmet pizza for approximately 20 years, in Christchurch.

With humble beginnings at 82 Lichfield Street, seating about sixty people growing to a 180 seat restaurant situated at 194 Gloucester Street. This was our home from 2003 to 2010.

With the unfortunate and devastating effects of the September 2010 quakes, saw Winnie Bagoes close, due to the unsafe condition of Winnie Bagoes house. Winnie Bagoes found alternative premises and relocated to the old Vic & Whale site, 772 Colombo Street. We were underway again by late October 2010 and we were enjoying trade and happy to be providing Christchurch's Best Gourmet Pizza experience to the people once again.

The events of February 2011 with a second sudden jolt, ended our ideas of staying at the Colombo Street. With the loss of the second site within 4 months, it had us all at our wits end, and wondering what to do!

Persistence and determination allowed us to refocus our energies into finding a new site, to be part of the City rebuild.. and make this the Best City in the World!!! The final phase is complete, the main dining area, private dining rooms, full kitchen, and offices.

We can't wait to see you all back here at Winnies, we can't wait to show you around, we can't wait for your to experience NZ's Best Pizza once again, in the City!!!
