Wilderness Wandering

Wilderness Wandering invites you to connect with dramatic and wild country in the beautiful New England Ranges. Situated between Walcha and Gloucester in New South Wales, we about half way between Brisbane and Sydney. Our home is a nature lovers paradise where self reliance and a love of country reward visitors with stunning views, unspoiled bush and an opportunity to explore Australia’s natural and cultural bush heritage.

Rainforest, Sydney Blue Gum and New England Blackbutt forests grace three rivers systems - the Cooplacurripa, the Walcrow and the Mummel. A comfortable hut on one boundary overlooks the Mummel Gulf National Park from which you can hear a waterfall, enjoy the wildlife and indulge in some bird-watching while the damper cooks on the open fire.

We are excited to design the wilderness experience of your dreams. Walk, cycle, ride, four wheel drive, bird watch, animal spot, celebrate or meditate. Individuals, families and formal or informal groups are welcome. Accommodation is in traditional stock workers huts or camping under the stars.
