WHITE LODGE is just 120m from the beach. Close enough for an easy stroll yet far enough for total peace and quiet. We have ocean views from all rooms which are filtered by magnificent gums that are home to many native birds.

White Lodge is your very own hunting lodge at the beach - enjoy the arty style and the relaxed and spacious atmosphere. There are polished floor boards through out the top level so the house is fresh and clean.

Beautiful rockers are on the veranda as well as a hammock so you can relax while listening to the waves and birds.

Our extendable dining table and outdoor seating can both seat 12.

Upstairs features a huge open plan living area with airy cathedral ceilings with ceiling fans and with plenty of comfortable seating.

There is an absolutely cracking fire in the main lounge so it's great for cooler nights.

There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms one with ensuite plus a separate bathroom, laundry and storeroom..

Please note that White Lodge is a 2 storey house with the main living area on the top floor and also has some stairs from the carport.

Easy cooking for a family is always important for enjoyment of a holiday and a good kitchen just adds to the pleasure. Our gourmet kitchen will offer just that.

You will find a 120cm oven, multiple hot plates, dishwasher, microwave, electric hand mixer, juicer, a great selection of baking implements and serving dishes.

White Lodge is perfect for a keen cook or large groups. Our top level with 3 bedrooms makes a perfect space for a family get away. Or if you would like to invite friends, two families can easily fit over our two spacious levels.

At night enjoy the beauty of the trees outside the living rooms with our spotlights trained onto the tree tops. It is a spectacular panorama..

During peak holiday periods when we only rent out in weekly intervals check out is usually 10am and check in 3pm

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

There is a cafe just down the hill that serves good coffee and meals.

Booderee National Park is a short drive away and has more beaches, surf beaches and botanical gardens. Dogs however are not allowed in the National Park.

Green Patch in Booderee National Park and the beaches around the bay are probably some of the most beautiful you would find anywhere - make sure you go and explore them.

There is great snorkelling in the area as well as good dive sites, whale and dolphin watching, glass bottom canoes, kayaks for hire and restaurants and cafes in Huskisson

There are some bush tracks around that are suitable for biking so bikes are also a good idea.

WHALE WATCHING

Jervis Bay is one of the few pristine coastal areas left in NSW. The picturesque bay and its environs form the Jervis Bay Marine Park. The protected bay and its surrounds are diverse in marine and bird life and it has some of the most amazing and spectacular scenery along the Australian coastline. It's breathtaking beauty, and its rich cultural and natural significance have long been recognized and appreciated by locals and visitors alike.

Unique to this area are the resident pods of Bottlenose dolphins that can be found in the bay all year round. Seasonally we witness the migration of the majestic Humpback whales along the East Coast, this occurs from May to mid November.

From mid October to late November there is the opportunity to see Humpbacks and their babies in the shallow, sheltered waters inside Jervis Bay.

The best time to go looking for whales ...

Late morning and early afternoon are reasonably good times of the day to see whales from most vantage points, as the glare off the water doesn't make sighting the tell-tale "blow" too difficult to see. Early morning can also be a good time as the "blow" is often highlighted by the backlight of the morning sun.

Where can you go to see whales?

During their northern migration most whales come within 3 km of the NSW coast. Headlands and lookouts in national parks can be the perfect place to see them.

Whales often come into Jervis Bay itself and are sometimes come right into Hyams Beach - they can often be in the northern most corner of the beach - it seems to be a favourite spot.

For watching the whales pass outside the Bay one of the best vantage points is around the Ruined Lighthouse (in the National Park) maybe of the walks around this area will have great ocean view and plenty of opportunity for watching.

There are also Whale Watching Tours run from Huskisson.
