White Hills is a suburb of the City of Bendigo in central Victoria, Australia. It is located 4 kilometres north-west of the city centre.Its name came about from the colour of the clay which was exposed by gold miners at that part of the Bendigo diggings.The Bendigo Creek, the site of the first gold find, runs upstream through White Hills.At the, White Hills had a population of 3,275.FacilitiesWhite Hills Post Office opened on 21 August 1857 during the gold rush.The Bendigo Jockey Club, a horse racing club, is based at the Bendigo racecourse in White Hills and the Bendigo Cup is run here in mid-November.
