Waterbug Wonders Environmental Education Incursions

An educational, interactive and fun workshop that explores the wonderful world of waterbugs. Children will:
• Observe weird and wonderful bugs collected from a local creek, from tiny mites to prawns and water scorpions!
• Learn about life cycles and food chains of some waterbugs
• Discover what waterbug diversity can tell us about the “health” of a waterway
• Develop hand eye coordination, fine motor and observation skills catching quick and camouflaged bugs

Waterbug Wonders offers environmental incursions for Kindergarten to primary school aged children within child care centres, kindergartens, schools and community groups.

Workshops are run in autumn (March to May) and Spring (September to November/December) due to seasonal constraints. Customised programs can be developed for other age groups, please discuss your needs with Sue!
