Warrnambool Model Railway Club Inc

A committee of people administer the club on behalf of its members including a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Proprietor Officer and Exhibition Co-ordinator. Members meet weekly every Tuesday night from 7pm onward at the Merrivale Drive Club Rooms. Wednesday nights are set aside for maintenance and construction on both the club's layouts and the club rooms.

There are many activities that members can get involved in whatever their interest in modelling from the wood working and electronics involved in layout construction, to the finishing touches including kit building and producing scenery for a layout. There are also opportunities in organising field trips to expos, museums and hobby shops to fundraising and assisting in the running of the club own exhibition.

Currently the club has members who model Victorian, Australian, American, European and British prototypes. They
model in scales from N to O and from G to 7 1/4" and in narrow, standard and broad gauges. The Clubrooms house the clubs large main HO scale layout filling one room. In other smaller room a small HO scale shunting layout can be found and the beginnings of a portable exhibition layout in HO scale ran on DCC. There is also a N scale layout that is currently getting rebuilt. The club hopes to get a test track facility up and running for members and visitors use to include several of gauges.
