Student Well-Being: A Caring Environment
Students in both the Middle and Senior School belong to Year Level Teams. These teams oversee and monitor the academic performance and well-being of students. Each Year Level Team believes in and models our school values of Community, Achievement, Respect and Effort.
Our College is committed to the use of Restorative Practices with students. Restorative Practices rights wrongs and is a no blame approach to dealing with inappropriate behaviour. It promotes an awareness of others, responsibility and empathy. It separates the deed from the doer and is concerned with each person’s rights to equal dignity, concern and respect. Relationship management at WRC is modelled on this approach.
The Positive Awards Scheme recognises student achievement across all areas of school life. The Awards reward performance in the following arenas; academic, sporting,extra-curricula, and within the community. WRC believes in giving positive praise and recognising success.
