Waratah is in the heart of extraordinary St Kilda, Melbourne’s premier beach district. Our garden sanctuary is a two minute walk from Acland and Fitzroy Street café and nightlife precincts and three minutes from the famous St Kilda beach and jetty. Visit the penguins at sunset, swim, and learn to kite surf, rent a stand-up paddle board, skate, ride a rental bike, or just promenade along the boardwalk. Visit Luna Park, a local sports game, the eclectic adventure playground and the Sunday market, or sample Melbourne’s most famous cake shops.

See local live music at the Dogs Bar, the Winnebago lounge, Clay Pots, the Espy, the Prince of Wales, or one of many bars. Take in a show at the Palais, Memo, the National Theater, or Theatre works, all within a three minute walk. Or visit one of St Kilda’s art galleries including Linden just across the road. Trams to downtown and beyond, and the airport bus, are within a two minute walk.

Downstairs has a spacious lounge with fire place, chef’s kitchen, and full laundry facilities. All are shared by the four guest rooms but usually you will have these to yourselves.
