Wallsend F.C. Six-A-Side Football

Wallsend F.C. Summer 6's was founded in the early spring of 2010 with the aim of providing a competition for all ages and abilities, and at an affordable price. Since then, the competition has grown to become the largest outdoor summer football competition in the Newcastle region, home to over 110 teams, and nearly 800 players. Each season we welcome back our loyal teams to The Gardens, and offer an invitation to new teams to join us for the first time.

Our competition usually begins at the end of September, or early in October to coincide with the warmer months of the year. All our matches are played at The Gardens across three fields, making the venue not only a football arena, but also a relaxed social environment allowing new friends to be made, or old friends to catch-up. Wallsend F.C. Summer 6's has been an enjoyable weekly engagement for teams and players since the competition's inception.

As the competition grows, so do we. Wallsend F.C. Summer 6's now accommodates junior teams, supports the rise of women's football, as well as providing more relaxed mixed divisions and competitive or social men's divisions. At the same time, we offer a range of discounts to our participants to make the competition more affordable, as seen in our earlybird discount, loyalty discount, and our UoN Women's F.C. discount. Our competition remains the cheapest option in Newcastle for summer football, while offering a $1000 prize-pool for each of our divisions.

Of course, none of this is possible without the support of our participants.
