Walcha & District Historical Soc. Inc

A museum site containing 10 separate buildings. The Pioneer Cottage dates from 1862, as does the Museum building. Most of the buildings on the site are of slab construction. The majority of the collection of objects are related to Walcha and its outlying districts dating from the 1850s. The other buildings on site consist of a Tool Shed, old domestic and farm tools; the Wool Hall, photos and articles relating to the wool industry; the Machinery Barn, large and small farm machinery; the Blacksmith Shop, with forge and related tools; a Tiger Moth plane; a Settlers Cottage, a work in process; a Machinery Shed, large agricultural machinery.
