Hi! My name is Rowena.

Let me introduce WAGS WALKIES. I provide a dog walking and pet sitting (in their own home) service within the area of Taupo, NZ.

But let me tell you a little about myself first.

I have been an animal lover all my life with having had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, chickens, fish and even crazy crabs on and off over the years.

My three darling human babies kept nagging at me to get a puppy.

So I looked into becoming a volunteer Puppy Raiser for Guide Dogs WA, in Perth Western Australia as had for many, many years wanted to become more involved with Guide Dogs somehow. After having attended a couple of puppy classes and filling in the paperwork, I took my girls to GDWA one afternoon - without having mentioned what I'd been up to.

Anyway to cut a long story short... "Mum?... are we getting a puppy!!!!!!!"

And thus my passion for dogs was re-ignited.

Over the last few years, I've been wanting to run a small business from home and recently a friend suggested a dog walking service.

What a great idea!!

With my knowledge & experience of volunteering for GDWA, WAGS WALKIES was born.

The training and socializing of a GD puppy are quite strict and rigorous, and I have learned a great deal.

One of the biggest key points I discovered was:

"A TIRED DOG IS A HAPPY DOG"

Bored dogs dig holes.
Bored dogs bark a lot.
Bored dogs rip/tear things to pieces.
