Horse Starting, Training & re-education.
I started my Horse Educating career at age 12, when my father was asked to break in an Australian Riding Pony. As he was too big for it, he suggested I do it, so with Dad's guidance I started my first horse. After I had finished that one I was asked to break in and quieten lots of other ponies, and as I got older, people started asking me to work on their horses. At 16 I got my first QH, a 2 year old filly. It was during this time I first met Pat Parelli. I did my best to break in & train my filly the way Pat had shown. I was very pleased with the results and within 2 years she had won almost every western event at the local QH & Appaloosa club shows as well as winning High Point Snaffle Bit Horse & High Point Open Horse at both Clubs in the first year of competition. This gave a great boost to my horse training ambitions. My mare took me on to win numerous NSW Reining Horse Association (NSWRHA) High Point Senior Reining Horse & High Point Open Reining Horse Titles, and Runner-Up Senior Reining Horse at the first "All Australian QH Congress" in Melbourne.
I now had a nice cross section of talented horses to work with (including Welsh Cobs, QHs Appaloosas, Paints, Trakehners and some Stock Horses). Over the years I have had great success. One year I was lucky enough to be the trainer of 3 exceptional horses; a little Paint filly who won NSWRHA High Point Snaffle Bit, an Appaloosa filly who won NSWRHA Junior Horse and my QH mare who won NSWRHA Senior Horse.
The same year the little Paint filly also won both the NSW Paint Horse Assn Reining Futurity and the National Paint Horse Assn Reining Futurity.

Now, thanks to the good people at "Legacy Equestrian Centre" I now have the opportunity to offer my services to the people and horses of the Shoalhaven district.
