More about Vocal, Theory and Performance

Vocal, Theory & Performance is a studio suited to all at an affordable price. It offers one on one lesson, group classes, theory lessons as well as audition, exam and HSC prep classes. It also offers students the opportunity to sit AMEB Singing and Musicianship exams. Whether you are wanting to learn for fun, compete in Eisteddfod’s, perform in concerts, or even build confidence, Vocal, Theory & Performance is the studio for you.

I started this business as a way to bring music into the lives of students who may not get the opportunity elsewhere. Lessons prices are kept down and are very competitive in the local area. I believe music has the power to keep your brain learning new things at the same time as making you incredibly happy.

A Little bit about me.
I started my musical career when I was just in primary school and it led to pursing it through high school and adulthood. After performing at many Opera House events and as part of the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2000, I was convinced that performing was to be a major part of my life.
I have spent the last 17 years performing in over 50 musicals, play and reviews as well as Directing, Musically Directing and Choreographing with local theatre companies.

My passion for teaching started 10 years ago when my eldest son was just a baby. He used to sit in his bouncer and enjoy listening to my students sing. Since then I have had two more sons who have both been born into the musical world. I started teaching for myself in 2011 and havn’t looked back. I am still teaching students from when I first started. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Music and hoping to obtain my Masters of Education. I would love to be able to teach in high schools as well as teach music to children with disabilities. My eldest son is Autistic and I know first hand how music can do for their mental health.
