More about Victorian Planning Reports

Victorian Planning Reports publishes The Guide to Planning Appeals (GPAs) and The Guide to Planning Panels (GPPs) and provides regular editorial comment on significant VCAT decisions and Panel reports.

The Guide to Planning Appeals (GPAs) consolidates 30 years of reported decisions into the one an easy - to - use document that identifies key planning and legal principles, precedents and issues. The document is set out in alphabetical order and under each topic the relevant legislative or planning scheme source is identified, the main issues concerning the subject are summarised and the relevant Tribunal decisions are referred to.

The Guide to Planning Panels (GPPs) adopts a similar approach and identifies the key procedural and planning issues that have been addressed in Panel reports over the past decade or so. The GPPs is the first guide that has ever identified the more significant Panel reports and summarised key issues.

Both Guides are updated annually.

The editorial comment of noteworthy Tribunal decisions and Panel reports is provided on a monthly basis. The VCAT editorials are published in a volume and edition number of VCAT Volume No. Edition No. The PPV editorials are published in a volume and edition number of PPV Volume No. Edition No. The editorials are uploaded onto the web site and can be found under the Editorials menu. Once an editorial is uploaded an email alert is sent subscribers.

The web site also contains an Editorial List menu. This list identifies the editorial headings and cases and reports subject to the editorial comment.

The two Guides are available to subscribers in both hard and electronic copy. The hard copy is bound, divided into sections and produced on high quality paper. The electronic copy is accessed by logging onto the new VPRS web site and contains links to the relevant Tribunal decisions and Panel reports via Austlii and also contains search functions.

Subscribers have the option of subscribing to either Guide or both.

Should you wish to subscribe to VPRs please contact Krisztina Strzebonski on 0419 547 876 or kris@vprs.com.au
