The Victoria State Rose Garden is proudly managed by Parks Victoria and the Victoria State Rose Garden Supporters Inc. volunteer to help Parks prune & look after the gardens. Volunteers & supporters are always welcomed. The Rose Garden is open from 9.30 am to 6 pm during daylight saving time and from 9.30 am to 5 pm during the winter months. website: http://vicstaterosegarden.com.au/home.html
Normally it is open to the public 365 days a year, but rarely, Parks Victoria host a paying event where the public is excluded from the Garden (Once in the last five years).
If coming by public transport, catch a Werribee train from Melbourne and then the 439 bus which will take you right to the entrance.
The best months are November & March when the first flush of spring & autumn roses are out , but there are plenty of blooms from mid-October to the end of June.
