Valley Youth

Hey friend! Welcome to Valley Youth! I'd like to introduce our core team. Our coordinators include Riley, Tom, Lucas and Josh. Until we get the chance to meet face to face I'd love to explain a little bit about what we are about here.

First of all, we are a community of young people that meet together as often as possible. Our main time that we all come together is on Friday night's at 7pm. This is held in our Back Hall at Minden Baptist Church. This is always a fun-filled night of exploring the truth behind why we do what we do. I'd invite you to just check it out. Come along one Friday night and meet some new friends!

Secondly, you may have noticed our vision statement above. Those three words really capture what we are about. We belong, believe and breathe. Let me explain briefly what this means!

Firstly, we hold strongly to the fact that every human being on earth, including you, is searching for somewhere to belong. We are that place where you can belong. We want you to feel at home when you come to VY! Please help us help you by contacting us so we can get to know you more!

Secondly, we have strong beliefs in the message that we have been given by God. We would love nothing more than to share this with you. Don't be at all threatened by this. We accept anyone no matter whether you believe or not. We simply ask for everyone to have an open mind and to love others as themselves. In saying this, those of us who do profess faith in Jesus Christ are not ashamed of this fact. I would love to be able to discuss this more with you as we get to know each other!

Finally, we love to breathe. It sounds odd, but this concept is so important. Breathing is symbolic of daily life. Those at Valley Youth, like you, are both struggling and celebrating throughout the hectic concept of life. We believe in the power of community. On top of this, we also strongly believe in the message that we have in Jesus. Part of breathing is allowing Jesus to use us in the ways that he wants us to.

So there you go. That's a little about what we are about now we would love to learn and hear what you are about. You can do this by either coming on Friday nights or Sunday (9:30am service), getting in contact with us or even communicating here on Facebook. We are up for anything but we hope to see or hear from you soon!
