USC is one of Australia’s newest and fastest growing universities, serving the Sunshine Coast and extended region from north Brisbane to the Fraser Coast.
The University opened in 1996 with 500 students. It was the first greenfield public university to be established nationally since the early 1970s.
With over 8,000 enrolled students, USC is on track to reach projected student
enrolments of more than 12,000 by 2015.
USC Gympie is co-located with the Gympie Wide Bay Institute of TAFE campus on Cartwright Road. Construction of our purpose built building is expected to be completed by July, 2013.
USC Gympie's facilities include a 75-seat lecture theatre, tutorial rooms for 30–50 people, staff offices, study areas for students and interactive learning technology connecting with USC's Sippy Downs’ campus.
