UQ Union

Your UQ Union is the hub of student life at The University of Queensland. We focus on providing services, support, representation and resources that enhance your university experience outside the classroom. We are all about U!

Your UQU does not rely on student contributions to maintain the services we offer.

As a student of UQ you are automatically a member of the Union and its free. We are funded by the profits from our many outlets on campus (Lolly Shop, Secondhand Texts & Stationery, Main Course, On a Roll Bakery, Red Room, Pizza Caffe, Schonell Cinema, Darwin's Cafe & Physiol).

UQ Union provides extensive services to around 38 000 students through SHOC's (Student Help On Campus) free support services including: legal, education & equity, welfare, employment, gender & sexuality and migration.

Additionally, we provide significant support and funding to 190+ UQU clubs and societies and UQ Union Women's, International, Queer, Environment, Student Rights and Goorie Berrimpa Collectives.
