More about Universal Equine Services

Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m a ‘horse-aholic’. Actually, how can you love horses and not be?
Horses have been my passion for as long as I can remember. It even got to the point where my teachers told me I had to pick a different topic to do for my assignments! I have had the last laugh though, as I am currently studying a Bachelor of Equine Science, so I now HAVE to write assignments and study horses. :-)
Anyway, I have been involved with horses since I was a kid and grew up going to pony club and competing in whatever event was within riding distance from home. I have also spent time working in the horse industry. Along the way, I have had 3 children, which has changed the way I look at the world. I have found that I have more empathy for these amazing animals that allow us to ride them when they could so easily make us get off!
This journey lead me to the Horse Muscle Care (HMC) modality. HMC involves the use of a light touch on specific muscle points that enables the muscle group to relax and return to its normal state. This works well on tight, tired and strained muscles that can affect how your horse moves. More information can be found here: http://horsemusclecare.com/ After talking to a practitioner while he treated my friend’s and my horses, I decided to do the Level 1 introductory course. I came away from that weekend with such a different view of what our horses tolerate for us when they have muscle soreness. I also had a direction in which I wanted to take my equine studies.
I am now a qualified practitioner of this amazing modality and am in the early stages of developing my new business. I have called it ‘Universal Equine Services’, as I will eventually be taking on a more holistic, or ‘universal’, approach to helping people with their horses once I have finished my university degree as I am studying nutrition, locomotion, training and am looking to complete my Level 1 Instructors certificate.
I love seeing happy horses and happy owners. If you feel that I could help your horse feel happier, then don’t hesitate to give me a call, or message me via facebook. I look forward to meeting you and your horses.
