Alliance- Our Objectives
Principal Objects
The principal objects of the Alliance are:
1. To achieve a level of wild dog activity throughout the mid-north coast region equal to a level of “non-presence” as defined by the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries, so as to:
• minimise livestock losses; and
• minimise economic, environmental, social and personal problems with a focus on landholders and agricultural businesses
2. To participate in the development of wild dog programs in accordance with the National Wild Dog Action Plan being an industry initiative endorsed by Government.
3. To develop new wild dog landholder groups in the mid-north coast region.
4. To encourage wild dog groups in the mid-north coast region to participate with the Alliance in carrying out the programs.
5. To promote public awareness about the Alliance, its work and its objectives.
6. To educate communities and the general public about the severity of the impacts caused by wild dogs.
Corollary Objects
In pursuing the principal objects the Alliance will:
• participate with relevant stakeholders including:
o New South Wales National Parks & Wildlife Service
o Forestry Corporation of New South Wales
o Department of Primary Industries – Lands
• participate with relevant coordinators such as Local Land Services including:
o North Coast Local Land Services; and
o Hunter Local Land Services
• assist landholders
• act as an advocate for Alliance members
