UK Foods is a Proudly Owned and Operated Family Business in SA. Famously known for our Hand Crafted English Pork Pies, we also produce many other traditional foods.

Located approximately 12kms out of the CBD, we service both major and independent businesses throughout the country.

The company was first established in the 1960's by newly migrated Brits wanting to provide local fellow Poms with traditional food they enjoyed back in the UK. Their Pork Pie became a household staple. From then on, UK Foods has stayed true to these recipes and methods as it has grown.

Rick Burke was employed as the company representative and delivery driver in 1999. He loved the business and customers so much, that when the opportunity came in 2003, he with his wife Kelley took over operations & became proud owners and the known faces of UK Foods today.

Rick's experience with making British & Scottish food began back when he was a young boy in his father’s butcher shop. Who being raised in Manchester, his upbringing was strongly traditional and his shop was focused on English based recipes and products. Rick spent many hours of enjoyment in the back of the shop helping to make products like Haggis, Black Pudding, English sausages and Bacon.

"One of the best parts of owning this business is talking to our customers about how different the traditions varied all the way from northern England, through to London and everywhere inbetween. You could take the same product such as a Pork Pie, and the way it was sold or served throughout the UK could vary considerably. But the recipe pretty much was consistently the same! Everyone remembers their way of enjoying these foods and feel so patriotic about it."

Today's patterns have sustained many of these traditions which have also seen them stretch throughout the world, wherever people from the UK have made home. Food is ever evolving, but the origins and familiar recipes always remain popular, never going out of fashion.

Like all other cultures who migrate, they like to keep their traditions wherever they go. And likewise, these flavours are now also adopted by others after living in the UK. We meet many Australians who after travelling to the UK, return home seeking them. It's such a joy to be a part of this continuation of food history into people's homes.

Today, our focus and drive for excellence and consistency has since grown UK Foods into being known as reputable supplier throughout Australia, where we continue to develop new products and forms of marketing to offer to our customers. We source our ingredients from local Australian suppliers which not only ensures the freshest and best quality ingredient but also keeps local people employed & this is very important to us.
Our foods are made using traditional methods which means we don't use the shortcuts or cheap commercial additives you commonly see nowadays. A sealed quality & freshness is then maintained through our practice and accreditation under managed HACCP procedures, leaving our customers with the satisfaction & guarantee of enjoying the Gold Standard of the Australian food industry.
