UC Labor Left

UC Labor Left is a place for all progressive students to come together and have their voices heard. The club will aim to advance progressive values on campus and within the Labor party. We share the values of the Labor Left, such as fairer treatment of refugees, true equality for women, true equality for the indigenous peoples of Australia, true equality for members of the LGBTIQ community, true equality for people of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds, real protections and fair treatment and pay for workers and the advancement of the labour movement. We will be a forum for the advancement of students rights, and the advancement of workplace rights for students who work on top of their study.

Meetings will occur monthly.

UC Labor Left will hold social events for members, such as: politics in the pub, fundraisers, game/trivia nights, and barbecues in addition to our monthly meetings. We plan on averaging at least one event per month in addition to meetings.

- Linking to unrelated personal blogs or websites. Links to other news stories or websites relevant to the discussion will be allowed

Users who repeatedly breach this policy will be blocked.
