Nick Reese, Tuckeroo Ecommerce CEO, has been coding and mucking about with computers for thirty years. He has been an IT professional for eighteen years, since the expansion of the Internet began to turn computers into a sensible tool for everyone. Nick has a Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Certificate in Adult Education (Training), and a Masters of Business in IT Management (UTS).

After Nick graduated from high school, he worked for a few years in North Sydney at Stannard Patten Samuelson advertising agents, under the tutelage of advertising luminaries Ken Done and Graeme Davey, learning all aspects of the advertising production game, from print media to radio and TV.

Nick has worked for the last eighteen years in areas of IT such as web site development, eCommerce, customer relationship management systems, network infrastructure and application performance testing, server and network support for small to medium sized enterprises, software support and vendor liaison, project management and general IT management. Nick has experience working in London, Los Angeles, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and throughout the Pacific.

Nick’s most recent contract, for nearly three years, was as Manager of Information Technology for the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency, based in Honiara, Solomon Islands, project managing the development and implementation of a bespoke, Pacific-wide, web-based, fisheries information management system to manage fisheries observer, catch and vessel movement data, designed so that government and industry can manage their fisheries data real-time. The system implementation was so successful that it attracted NZD$3 million in funding from the New Zealand government for further development.

Nick has carried out IT projects and management for IBM, Compuware Asia Pacific, NSW TAB Corp, Electroboard, European Union, Australian Federal Police, Australian Crime Commission, Australian Defence, Solomon Star Newspaper, South Pacific Oil, Solomon Taiyo (SI) Ltd.
