Nail Maintenance & Aftercare Between Services

Please note – Looking after your nails at home or at work shouldn’t be a chore – it is advisable to keep the following in mind:

Whilst gel nails cure instantly, acrylic nails take up to 48 hours to cure completely to their true hard state.
Moisturise hands & apply cuticle oil twice daily (especially before bed – nails, hair & skin rejuvenate during the night), this also allows the enhancement & natural nail to remain supple, minimising brittleness, cracking & lifting.
It’s advisable to wear gloves where possible, when working with harsh cleaning chemicals. These can cause the enhancements to become extremely dry & brittle, which can cause breakages, cracking & lifting.
Take a little care when opening drawers, beveled cupboard doors (no handles), aggressively hitting keys on keyboards or phones, prying aluminium or tin-can openings, or even making beds etc can also cause breaks & lifting
Sometimes accidents can happen even to those of us who are careful, but most can be avoided by being mindful of our beautiful new nails. Your nails should look fantastic from service to service (apart from the usual refill/infill or re-balance (eg French nails).
