Same people, different name. We run a Low Cost shop every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 10-3.
Prices starting from .20c. Free Fruit, Veg & Bread is available fresh everyday. No purchase required to collect free stuff.
Amber & Jay have been helping people gain access to food for over 4 years. We both started volunteering at Second Bite & seeing first hand the amount of food still being thrown in the bin I decided to start our own food relief org in which we to can help people with free food. Thrifty evolved to a point where we needed to change our legal structure to help many more people, This is how Community Thrifty Food was born to help us to get to the next level enabling us to reach a wider range of areas & open more low cost shop all around SA & even AU if possible down the track.
For the time being TFS will remain active along side CTF as we vital contracts
Here at Thrifty Food & Stuff (TFS) we aim to help people gain access to FREE food that would
otherwise become landfill. Weather it's old food from supermarkets or excess food, we strive to
bring "The Food To The People"
TF&S is registered with ASIC.

Community groups are welcome.

We currently have a program running called Thrifty Food & Stuff Community Food. We run a low cost shop for anyone, No registration is required, anyone can shop with us. No limit.
Grocery item's start from .20c with nothing over $5.
We also offer Free fruit, veg & bread. No purchase is required to collect any free stuff & again No limit.
Please keep in mind our shop is in a residential area & in a court so parking in the court is reserved for the disabled. Everyone else will need to park on Chartwell which is the street leading to Kiera.
If you get there before 10am, Can we please ask that you remain in your car until we open. Council have given us permission to operate & one of their conditions is, 'No queuing outside a house. (only in respect for the people who live in the court) :)

TF&S would rather see the food go to as many people as we can.

TF&S recycles all food products that can no longer be consumed by humans. The last thing TF&S wants is to have to throw food in the bin.

Also there is a app called Affordable SA, It is free to download. With many great places that may also help. :)
