Threads By The Sea

Hi,my name is Leesa Greenacre, as a passionate sewer and crafter, it is a real pleasure to share my knowledge of sewing, quilting, patchwork skills and online supplies and resources with like-minded people.
I live in Tasmania, the beautiful Island state of Australia, where I reside in the North East, by the sea. My hometown of Bridport is a sleepy seaside village during winter, which doubles its population in summer; Bridport nestles onto the southern side of Anderson Bay.
We are famous for our pristine white beaches, bush walks, friendly people, seafood and two world ranked links golf courses ~ Barnbougle Dunes and The Lost Farm. Not to mention, there are many wonderfully talented and creative artists and crafters in our area.
Scottsdale, Lilydale, Ringarooma and Bridport all have textile, and quilting groups that meet regularly.
The Bridport Textile group meet every Tuesday 10:00 a.m. ~3:00 p.m. They are an informal friendly group that welcomes visitors and locals alike and are responsible for running 2 high quality markets a year showcasing goods made, baked and grown in Tasmania.
I live on a farm at the edge of town, overlooking the bay, and run self shedding sheep. My plan is to create over time, a destination for creative people to gather, learn, and purchase quality supplies. I am so looking forward to meeting you on my journey.
