More about Thorndon Park

The park is owned by the State Government and is under the care, control and management of Campbelltown City Council (SA).

Thorndon Park features a large, shaded junior/toddler playground, a liberty disabled swing, multiple barbeques and picnic settings, a rotunda and large sheltered pavilion. Walking trails take you throughout this picturesque location and past unique attractions like the lake and natural wetlands.

A small heritage museum is now open each weekend adjacent to the kiosk. Both the kiosk and museum are proudly operated by the Rotary Club of Morialta.

Thorndon Park is open to the general public at all hours. Please note, however, that the car park is locked between the hours of sunset and sunrise each day.

Please note, DOGS ARE PROHIBITED in the park at all times, as the park is a bird sanctuary.
